FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here you can find frequently asked questions about Keara CANDLES, the products, ingredients, and raw
materials. If your question is not listed or not answered satisfactorily, feel free to ask.
What raw materials are in a candle?

All of our candles are made from a blend of natural rapeseed wax (sustainably grown and produced in Europe) and coconut wax. They contain a mixture of natural essential oils and high-quality fragrance oils. Our candles are free from paraffins, parabens, and phthalates.
Our wick is made of pure cotton, woven with a twisted paper thread. No chemicals are used, and our wick is neither bleached nor treated with substances like chlorine.

Are our candles vegan products?

Yes! For our candles, we use natural rapeseed and coconut wax as well as 100% natural essential oils and sustainable, high-quality fragrance oils.

Where are our products made?

All of our products are currently handmade in Spain. This includes our individually handcrafted ceramic cups and our self-poured candles. In the future, we also want to collaborate with ceramic artists in other countries in Europe.

How long will my candle burn?

Our candles and refills have a burn time of approximately 50 hours. Be sure to follow our candle care tips to ensure the full burn time.

What size are the ceramic pots from Keara?

All of our Keara pots and cups are handmade, individually, and without a mold, so the sizes may vary slightly:

  • Standard candle pot: Width 8 cm x Height 8 cm
  • Matchstick cup: Width 4.5 cm x Height 4.5 cm
How can I get safety and allergy information?

Write to us, and we will send you the CLP and safety information. We only use high-quality raw materials so that you can enjoy our candles worry-free.

What happens if I light my candle outside the ceramic pot?

Please don’t do that! Lighting the candle outside its designated container poses a significant fire risk. Our candles are specifically designed to be safely used in our ceramic pots. Without these properties, the candle could become unstable, leak, or ignite the surface it is standing on. Always use our refills as intended to ensure safety.

How do I care for my candle to extend its burn time?

o maximize your candle’s burn time, trim the wick to about 5 mm before lighting it. A shorter wick prevents a large, sooty flame and ensures an even burn. Allow the candle to burn for as long as needed during the first lighting until the entire top layer of wax has melted to avoid tunneling. Protect the candle from drafts, as they cause uneven burning.

Safety guidelines for using candles
• Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep it away from flammable materials, children, and pets.
• Maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between burning candles to prevent excessive heat buildup.
• Extinguish the candle when less than 1 cm of wax remains to avoid overheating the container.
